good day

So today has been good....

I got a good night's sleep (always a plus) and while getting dressed, I watched the shuttle landing (even though it delayed me gettting to work - I was still on time...). There is definitely something wrong with me because I didn't really care about the landing - I just didn't want to miss seeing if it crashed... so morbid of me, I know, but I am honest....

I got to work and found out that most of the morning patients had canceled, making it a very light morning for me. As we were finishing morning rounds, my phone rang and it was Jess! Jess and I used to talk every day from work and got out of the habit, so it was SO nice to get that call. Of course, she wouldn't tell me any news because she had already posted it here and said I could read it (but I understood that!).

Jaime dropped by unannounced to visit and seeing her amde me even more aware of how thankful I am to have Melanie working with me instead. I was friendly and we hugged and talked, but inside I was thinking that I really didn't care.

So here I am... enjoying this lazy day....
